I present to you my two dolls. You already know the first one, the other one will be unveiled soon. Their silhouettes are similar because they are half-sisters. I used the same technical drawing to model the second doll. Once completed, I sent the photos to a 3D artist who had already helped me with Miss Georgia. His work was ultra professional, and I am delighted with the result.
Hi everyone. I continue with resin casting. Things are going well, despite the damage that resin can cause. Several resin pieces are successful and others more or less … I would not say they are a disaster, but they did not come out as well. I do not intend to throw them away, quite the contrary! I will reuse them to make (OOAK) unique figurative art dolls. I already had extra wires and metal rods, but also a surplus of polymer clay.
Art materials are expensive and imagined the cost of making a complete doll? I do not even dare to comment on the subject. I will let you guess. But also, my other concern is the harmful effect that this could cause on the environment. It is inconceivable to me not to think about recycling and creating something unique and personal. So, the creation of figurative dolls is about to see the light this year. Stay tuned for what is next.
Hello! Here is my brief look at 2022 that is already coming to an end. When I think about it, ten years of creating, testing, modifying, and perfecting my doll techniques is glorifying. I would never think of being so patient. But, although I was not able to create a complete doll this year, I am happy with what I was able to achieve. My engineering tests are going well and that is what was most important…
The first prototype of this future doll is in the process of production and the first photos are expected to be released sometime next month (January 2023). Besides the creation of my prototype (doll). I loved drawing faces of pretty women from all walks of life. I intend to continue with drawing and improve my techniques. In fact, a lot of drawings are on my worktop. Drawings of women’s faces, but also drawings of design clothes and textiles. Be patient, because beautiful things are about to be born at AMG DOLL. Thank you all and spend a happy holiday season with your loved ones.
Hello everyone! A few weeks ago, I started sculpting several doll heads… and I will continue to produce more over the next few weeks. I like the idea of making various types of ethnic faces. I love the unique and exotic look that these faces project. Essential and crucial assets that I want to project in my work.
Since my beginnings, I like to mix different colors of polymer clay. The surprise effect is a delightful sensation and especially after the firing. For the next dolls, I will dwell on only four skin colors (vanilla, latte, caramel and cinnamon). In the future, I plan to make more. What do you think of these colors? Do you like those names?
Hands! What could be more difficult for me to achieve when I started ten years ago. It took me more than one technique to find the one, that I liked best. It was by looking at my own hands, that I perfectly understood hand proportions, shape and volume. Also, I had to go back to my past technical drawings made during my studies in fashion, more than twenty-five years ago! Images and photos also help me.
More work is waiting for me! / Beaucoup de travail m’attend!
Happy Sunday everyone! A busy week passed and I was more than satisfied and here I am with my doll. However, I don’t think I’ll be able to finish her for the up coming week: my schedule and night classes are taking up a lot of my time. But, don’t be worried, some photos of my work in progress will be published in the coming days.
Many polymer clay sockets have been made by me in order to make this next doll prototype articulated. All these sockets will help to articulate shoulders, elbows, thighs, knees, etc.
