Other colors in mind!

As in my previous post, I already had other colors in mind. I had a few extra polymer clays that were never used. But I had to get more in order to produce the other four colors I have in mind. Do not think I will be able to work with these clays anytime soon. Kneading polymer clay takes a lot of time and patience. I intend to knead only one per month. I should be okay by the next summer vacation.

Comme dans ma précédente publication, j’avais déjà en tête d’autres couleurs. Je possédais quelques argiles de polymère en surplus et mais qui n’ont jamais été utilisées. Mais, j’ai dû m’en procurer d’autres afin de produire les quatre autres couleurs que j’ai en tête. Ne pensez pas que je pourrai travailler ces pâtes d’ici peu. Le pétrissage d’argile de polymère prend énormément de temps et de patience. J’ai l’intention d’en pétrir qu’un seul par mois. Je devrais être correcte d’ici les prochaines vacances d’été.

Kneading polymer clay

A whole work of kneading polymer clay was finished during my Christmas holidays. I am happy with the results. Four colors were produced: Vanilla, milk chocolate, latte, and caramel. I am already thinking about making other colors by the next month.

Tout un travail de pétrissage d’argile de polymère c’est terminé au cours de mes vacances de Noël. Je suis heureuse des résultats. Quatre couleurs ont été produit : Vanille, chocolat au lait, latté et caramel. Je pense déjà à réaliser d’autres couleurs d’ici les prochains moi.

Testing & mixing polymer clays

Since my beginnings, I like to mix different colors of polymer clay. The surprise effect is a delightful sensation and especially after the firing. For the next dolls, I will dwell on only four skin colors (vanilla, latte, caramel and cinnamon). In the future, I plan to make more. What do you think of these colors? Do you like those names?

Depuis mes débuts, j’aime mélanger différentes couleurs de pâte de polymère. L’effet de surprise est une sensation réjouissante et tout particulièrement après la cuisson. Pour les prochaines poupées, je vais m’attarder qu’à seulement quatre couleurs de peau (vanille, latté, caramel et cannelle). Dans le futur, je compte en réaliser d’autres. Que pensez-vous de ces couleurs? Est-ce que ces noms vous plaisent?

Hello! I am continuing with my new BJD project and it’s time to knead the polymer clay… a lot of clay, 1400 grams to be more accurate! So, this shows you the scale, size, and the height of this doll!

Bonjour! Je continue avec mon nouveau projet BJD et c’est le temps de pétrir de la pâte…beaucoup de pâte, 1400 grammes pour être plus exacte! Donc, cela vous montre l’ampleur, la grosseur et la grandeur de cette poupée!

First modeling steps before first firing / Première étape de modelage avant la première cuisson

Hello my friends! This is the first step of a pair of hands that I’m working on at the moment. It is difficult to produce since each finger is modeled on a thin metal wire. So, this means that I don’t have the choice to work in stages for modelling: a layer of polymer clay for each firing. The polymer clay I used for this piece is Prosculpt . This clay is fantastic to work tiny details, but I intend to use other types of polymer clay to realize various pairs of hands, which I will show you very soon!

Bonsoir mes amis! Voici la première étape d’une paire de main que je travaille en ce moment. Elle difficile à produire puisque chaque doigt est modelé sur une fils fin en métal. Donc, ce qui signifie que je n’ai pas le choix de travailler en étape de modelage : une couche de pâte pour chaque cuisson. La pâte de polymère que j’utilise pour cette pièce est Prosculpt . Cette pâte est fantastique pour travailler les détails minuscules, mais je compte utiliser d’autres pâtre pour réaliser d’autres paires de mains que je vous montrerai très bientôt!

Hello everyone! It feels good to be back and posting again! I hope your Christmas day was enjoyable and memorable with your love ones and must importantly, that you all took a good rest, since there is still New Year’s Eve to celebrate! Before my Christmas post, there was one last camera test that I made of my sexy Laïs. This time, it is in black and white. All pictures are truly beautiful and nicely finished. Good evening everyone! Starting tonight and for the next two weeks, end ending on December 23, just before Christmas Eve, I will be posting on a continuous basis work in progress and promotional photos of my sexy Laïs. In tonight’s post, I present you Laïs just after sanding. This beauty was created last spring and is made out of Cernit polymer clay and prosculpt. she is one of my favorites and the one I am most proud of.
