The concept

The concept behind the Miss Georgia doll, pays homage to the traditional history of fashion dolls, which were once used as miniature mannequins to represent the latest fashion trends. Today, the fashion doll has evolved, becoming a canvas for creativity and self-expression, reflecting couture-level designs in a collection format. Whether for the exhibition/display or for playing, Miss Georgia invites enthusiasts and collectors to explore a world where the artist’s doll meets fashion and art.

Who is she? 

Georgia, affectionately known as Miss Georgia by her siblings, is a talented both handbags and accessories designer, whose striking appearance reflects her unique personal style and deep-rooted cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from her extensive travels, her passion for handmade techniques and visual arts, her designs celebrate ethnic traditions and craftsmanship.

From a young age, Georgia was influenced by her elegant grandmother, who instilled in her an appreciation for the beauty of her Haitian lineage while embracing her Quebec and Canadian identities. This rich cultural background nurtured her love for ethnic clothing and opened her eyes to ancient textile traditions, including tie-dye, macramé, quilting, knitting, and leather tooling. It is through these mediums that Georgia has showcased practical creativity, making her own clothes from scratch and transforming them in unique ways.

As an accessory designer, Georgia advocates for the juxtaposition of oppositions. Her work embodies the harmonious fusion of contrasting elements, where the cityscape meets the serenity of nature, where neutral tones play with bright colors and where the roughness of textures interacts with their softness. Her handbags, including her hand-painted tunics, scarves, and other accessories, tell the story of beauty found in unexpected places. Themes of striking contrasts, where the apparent ugly dances with beauty and botanical motifs flirt with zoological inspirations, are omnipresent in her collections.

Miss Georgia does not hesitate to express her inner self through her creations. Here is the prototype of Miss Georgia in 3D. She is the main doll of the brand Atelier Miss Georgia Doll (AMG DOLL). This doll is 12 1/2 inches (31.75 cm) tall and features 20 points of articulation. Because of her double joints, she can mimic the movement of the human body and hold a wide variety of poses. She will be available in two shades of beige: Latte and maple.
