Yes! I am ready and preparing for the assembly of my two beauties and it was about time! I need to be careful to not damage the painting and especially with their faces. After years on making dolls, Iβm always having a funny feeling when I see on my dolls coming alive. Itβs an exciting one though and I just canβt wait to make the next one!
Doll faces are not finish, lashes and scellant needs to be added
These are the two heads that I’m working on and because of a nasty cold, I didn’t have the chance to paint their bodies. I intend to take two days off to heal myself. I really need it. I tried to work, but I couldn’t. However, I plan to rework my inspirational board and start drawing some styles. Iβll see you soon guys.
Hello! I’m continuing with the painting of my second lady’s painting. The work is pleasant, but just as laborious. The majority of my brushes are actually defective. And if I want to do a good job, I won’t have the choice to get more of them. I want to give myself two more days of work to finish it. Apart from my day job, it is only during the weekend that I will be able to continue with her.
Good morning! The painting of my two ladies has begun, they will finally come to life. At first, I panicked slightly, since it had been a while since I had used acrylic paint. Unlike porcelain paint, acrylic paint can be messy and what about the very unpleasant and chemical smell of the sealer. In addition, even the majority of my brushes were destroyed and many were good for the trash. But I kept them for other purposes. I think I’m going to book two days of work to do the painting: the dolls are big and I need a lot of natural light
Hi my friends! Lately, I’ve been wondering what name I could give to this first collection. I have too many ideas and I need to make up my mind! Indeed, I want to use poems and proverbs to accompany this collection. Ho god! You have no idea how excited I am! In fact, I believe the primary reason for this excitement and is due to the fact, that this is my very first real collection. To help me, I put together a notebook and an inspirational board. Every day Iβve pinned images, materials, accessories and objects of all kinds. Of course, the more Iβve experimented and advanced with my ideas, the more my inspirational board changes. These changes are due either to the wrong combination of materials or colors. I admit, it’s getting a little frustrating, but hey, it’s a choice I made. I leave you with some images of my inspirational ideas and Iβll see you again with whatβs next.
Good afternoon to you all! For this first collection, I intend to be inspired by my own country, Canada. With its wide-open spaces, wildlife and vegetation, but also with its diverse indigenous communities. Canada has everything to inspire me and itβs easy to be build an inspirational board! However, as an artist specializing in unique and handmade pieces, I want to use materials that I can rework. So, for the respect of the environment, recycling will be my priority!
Hello! I continue this post with my doll work in progress. Some of you have probably followed my work on Instagram and Facebook. I advise you to continue to follow the evolution of my work on these two platforms. But for more details, it would be better to follow me on my web page. Many challenges are ahead for me with this very first real collection, but do not worry, I intend to achieve them.
Good morning my friends! It’s been a while since Iβve posted anything in terms of dolls. But don’t worry, over the past few weeks, I haven’t been out of work! Indeed, Iβve made not one, but two beautiful large BDJ dolls. They are made out of polymer clay. What do you want, Iβve missed polymer clay! It’s a material that I know very well. My return to polymer clay is simple, it is due to my desire to surpass myself. Actually, I wanted to make bigger dolls and with a slender body. These dolls will measure 23 inches (57 cm) high. I’m excited about this new adventure… I’m putting together my very first real doll fashion collection. Stay tuned for whatβs coming and Iβll see you soon!
