Hello! This is where I’m at with my work. I give myself at least a month of work before I see the first results, because the air drying clay dries slowly.  In the meantime, I will work on the engineering of my doll and in the next post, I’ll show you with more details this ingenery. See you on the next post.

Allô! Voilà ou j’en suis rendue avec mon travail. Je m’accorde au moins un mois de travail avant de voir les premiers résultats, parce que la pâte à papier sèche lentement.  Entre-temps, je vais m’affairée sur l’ingénierie de ma poupée et dans la prochaine publication, je vous montrai avec plus de détails cette ingénierie. Air drying clay

Good morning! Finally, I started with air drying clay. On top of my drawing, I traced in red, internal shapes. These internal shapes will be cut, so that I can sculpt a Styrofoam sculpture that will be wrapped with a layer of of air drying clay. Each layer of air drying clay applied, will take at least two days to dry well before I can continue to sculpt anything.

Bon matin! Enfin, j’ai débuté avec la pâte à papier Sur mon dessin, j’ai retracé en rouge des contours internes. Ces contours internes seront coupés afin que je puise sculpter une forme en styromousse qui sera enrobée d’une couche de pâte à papier. Chaque couche de pâte à papier appliqué prendra au moins deux jours à bien sécher avant que je puisse continuer à modeler.

Hello! I continue with the technical drawings that I have elaborated and reworked. Reworking my drawings was inevitable, since the silhouette that I want to create is quite clear in my head. Also, the next doll I’m making on is articulated just like the Barbie/Blythe/Fashion Royalty dolls. So, the joins are connected to each other, to be more precise, the engineering must be tested and reworked, if necessary. Subsequently, another drawing will be made that will allow me to model and sculpt, just like the drawings you see below.

Hello! Je poursuis avec les dessins techniques que j’ai élaboré et retravaillé. Retravailler mes dessins était inévitable, puisque la silhouette que je souhaite créer est assez claire dans ma tête. Aussi, la prochaine poupée que je suis en train de réaliser est articulée tout comme les poupées Barbie/Blythe/Fashion Royalty. Donc, les jointures sont connectées entre-elles, pour être plus précise,  l’ingénierie doit être testée et retravaillée, si il y a lieu. Par la suite, un autre dessin sera effectué qui me permettra de modeler et sculpter, tout comme les dessins que vous voyez ci-dessus.

Good morning, everyone! After ten years of making dolls of all kinds, many of you are wondering what will be the next step for AMG DOLL in terms of dolls? Don’t worry because this is a question, I’ve been asking myself throughout the last couple of years. I want to avoid going around in circles with my dolls. I want unique dolls that I want to make with pleasure. But, to get there, I have to produce a few for well-defined collections. To achieve this, I plan to create silicone reproduction molds. These dolls will be smaller, with the measurements of the Barbie and Blythe dolls. Stay tuned for what’s next.

Bon matin tout le monde! Après dix années à réaliser des poupées de toute sorte, plusieurs parmi vous ce questionnent qu’elle sera la suite pour AMG DOLL en matière de poupée? Ne vous inquiétez pas parce que c’est une question que je me suis posée tout au long des deux dernières années. Je veux éviter de tourner en rond avec mes poupées. Je veux des poupées uniques que je souhaite réaliser avec plaisir. Mais, pour y arriver, je dois en produire quelques-unes pour des collections bien définies. Pour y arriver, je compte créer des moules de reproduction en silicone. Ces poupées seront plus petites, soit dans les mesures des poupées Barbie et Blythe. Reste à l’écoute pour la suite

Good morning to you all! Once the changes made, with the help of Photoshop, I redrew, copied and expanded my technical drawing, then laminated it. With this information, I believe that you might have an idea of my new adventure or, if I can best express myself, my evolution in the doll world…

Bon matin à vous tous! Une fois les changements ont été apporté, avec l’aide de Photoshop, j’ai pu redessiner, copié et agrandir mon dessin technique, puis, le faire plastifier. Avec ces informations, je crois que vous avez peut-être une petite idée sur ma nouvelle aventure ou si je peux mieux m’exprimer, mon évolution dans le monde de la poupée…

Changing my doll drawing…

Hello! Before I continue with my new BJD doll, here are the various changes on an old prototype. The first photo shows a simple drawing of a young woman who will be transformed. The first transformation will identify the parts that I count to change, since on the drawing, several details annoyed me… especially the hips and thighs. The symmetry was another issue and I intend to remedy the problem using graph paper. The other change I made was to expand the model: I wanted her to be slender! Eventually, everything will be reworked and perfected with Photoshop. To be continued…

Hello! Avant de continuer avec ma nouvelle poupée BJD, voici les différents changements apportés sur un ancien prototype. La première photo montre un simple dessin d’une jeune femme qui sera transformée. La première transformation était d’identifier les parties que je comptais changer, puisque sur ce dessin, plusieurs détails m’agaçaient…en particulier les hanches et les cuisses. La symétrie était un autre problème et je compte utiliser du papier quadrillé pour remédier le problème. L’autre transformation que j’ai apportée est l’agrandissement du mannequin : je la voulais élancer! Finalement tout sera retouché et perfectionné sur Photoshop.  A suivre…

NIA: Continuation of a previous doll

Good morning everyone! I am presenting to you the continuity of a work previously done: PAEONIA. NIA is the next BJD (Ball Jointed Doll) doll which I started six weeks after completing PAE. So, since last December 2016, she has been completely finished… Because of a lack of time, I was unable to show the work in progress during its creation. On the other hand, in the coming weeks, I will be showing you several steps of her creation. This doll is an important one, due to several technical drawing changes which I made and will show you in upcoming posts. I hope that you will all be there and enjoy this new lady. In the meantime, I hope to see you very soon.

Bon matin tout le monde! Je vous présente la continuité d’un ouvrage précédemment réalisé : PAEONIA. NIA est la prochaine poupée BJD (Ball Jointed Doll) que j’ai pu commencer, soit, six semaines après que j’ai eu terminer PAE. Donc, depuis le mois décembre 2016, elle est entièrement terminée…Faute de temps, je n’ai pu montrer le travail en progression durant sa réalisation. Par contre, au cours des prochaines semaines, je vous monterai quelques étapes de sa fabrication. Cette poupée est importante, puisque plusieurs modifications ont été apporté sur mes dessins techniques, dont je vous montrerai dans mes futures messageries. J’espère que vous serez au rendez-vous et apprécierez cette nouvelle demoiselle. D’ici-là, à très bientôt.

Paeonia design sketch

Good afternoon everyone! I took a day to develop an outfit for my first BJD doll. Bright colors, floral patterns, and the spirit of Bohemia are my favorite themes. I love that feeling of freedom that comes from each: vivid colors = zest for life, flowers = femininity and the spirit of Bohemia = adventure. As a theme, I am inspired by the Peony flower. This flower is one of the most popular around the world! Over 262 compounds have been obtained so far from the plants of Paeoniaceae. Peonies became particularly popular during the Tang dynasty in China when they were grown in the imperial gardens. In the tenth centuary the cultivation of peonies spread through China. The genus Paeonia naturally occurs in the temperate and cold areas of the Northern Hemisphere. Countries such as Japan, China, USA (California)  & Canada (British Colombia) are ideal area for this royal flower!

Bon midi tout le monde! J’ai pris une journée à élaborer un accoutrement pour ma première poupée BJD. Les couleurs vives, les motifs floraux et l’esprit de bohème sont mes thèmes préférés. J’aime cette sensation de liberté que chacun procure : les couleurs vives = joie de vivre, les fleurs = la féminité et l’esprit de bohème = l’aventure. Comme thème, je me suis inspirée par la pivoine. Cette fleur une des plus populaire à travers la planète! Plus de 262 espèces de fleurs proviennent des plantes Paeoniaceae. Les pivoines sont devenues populaire tout particulièrement à la cour du règne de la dynastie Tang en Chine. La famille impériale faisait pousser des milliers de pivoines dans leurs différents jardins.  Au Xe siècle, l’élevage des pivoines furent partout à travers la Chine. Le gène de la plante Paeonia pousse naturellement dans les climats légèrement froids de l’hémisphère nord. Le Japon, la Chine, les États- Unis (Californie) et le Canada (Colombie-Britannique) sont des pays idéaux pour l’élevage de cette fleur royale.

Technical drawing corrections

Good evening! A few days ago, I showed you my drawings of my first Ball Jointed Doll project.  I’m very excited about it; however, by watching my technical drawings, several corrections had to be made by starting with the elbows and knees. The bust, the torso, the hips and the arms all have to be reworked. I have to admit that this work of three days was enormous, since I had to redraw each piece of the doll (front, back and profile). Subsequently, in order to protect this long work, everything had to be plastic-coated. Other corrections may be added, but only when I have finished my first BJD (ball jointed doll) that I will begin shortly. Wish me luck! In the meantime, I will come back with more details. Bonsoir! Il ya quelques jours, je vous ai montré mes dessins techniques de ma toute première poupée BJD.  J’en suis très excitée, toutefois,  à force de regarder mes dessins techniques, plusieurs corrections ont dû être effectuées par commencer par les coudes et les genoux.   Le buste, le torse, les hanches et ainsi que les bras ont tous été retravaillé. J’avoue que ce travail de trois jours fut énorme, puisque je devais tous redessiner chaque pièce de la poupée (de face, de dos et de profil). Par la suite, afin de projet ce long ouvrage, tout devait être plastifié. D’autres corrections seront peut-être ajoutées, mais uniquement lorsque j’aurai terminé ma toute première poupée BJD que je commencerai d’ici peu. Souhaitez-moi bonne chance!
