Good Friday! I’m ready for the resin casting stage! A long day awaits me and I am very excited. Stay tuned, in a few days, I will show you the first results!Γ
Good morning all and Happy New Year 2021 (if it’s still not yet done). I hope you’ve rested, had a good time and importantly, a safe one. As for me, besides having a fairly quiet holiday time, I was able to continue with my doll activities. Indeed, I was able to test some resin color. Frankly, despite the damage it can do, I really had fun. I was able to avoid losses by mixing some colors with others. See the results and tell me what you think of them. Thank you and see you soon!
Hello everybody! I hope youβre having a great and safe Holiday time and Iβll make it short. This post is to celebrate the making of my very first BDJ resin art doll, hereβs the short video of it. I hope youβll like and Iβll see you soon for new posts. Stay safe everyone!
Good morning! I finally have an overview of my prototype doll. It’s fantastic, she can stand alone without the help of a stand and she poses well despite her restricted joints. I thought about painting her, but in the end, I think it would have been a bad idea. I prefer her blank because it will allow me to better analyze her from all angles and take notes. And as for the painting concern, well, I’ll catch up with my first flawed tests. Anyway, there’s no hurry now. I plan to rest and spend a happy quiet holiday season and read several novels. For now, I leave you and I say thank you for your interest in my work. Have a happy holiday time and be careful, my friends.
Hi everyone! How are you doing? As for me, I feel wonderfull and it couldn’t be better! After a good week of work, I can finally show you my very first handmade BDJ doll. Sheβs made from polyhuretan resin. Sheβs far from being perfect, but for a first resin doll, I’m happy with the result. Some changes will be made in the near future, especially in the area of the joints (knees and elbows). I’m as happy to able to finish it before Christmas. Before I leave you, tell me what do you think of her?
Hello everyone! I am willing to do a long and laborious work that of sanding. But there is also another challenge, which is to drill and widen the tunnels and holes of each part of the doll. I’ll have to focus on safety! Gangs, coat, hairnet, bezel and mask with filter will be a necessity! Not to mention that I need good lighting and to do it all in a well-ventilated room.
The first pieces made are a failure! At first, I didn’t understand it. I couldn’t see what wasn’t working. However, I had made the silicone molds well and respected the techniques. But something was wrong and persisted. That’s when I realized that the casting tunnels were too narrow for the circulation of liquid resin. To remedy the situation, I had no choice but to expand them with an exacto. The process was tricky, but fortunately my first resins pieces were just casting tests. Until then, Iβm leaving you and Iβll be back in a few days with my work in progress.
Hello guys! I am back from my vacation and I hope you did all well. On my side, I did enjoy m own vacation but I was so busy for a few weeks, seven actually. I had to create a doll prototype which I redone twice. I have also tried for the first-time silicone molds and also polyurethane resin. All this work in progress will be featured in the next coming weeks. For now, I will leave one last video of The Love Stone 2021 collection where all photos are in black & white. Stay tune guys!
Stop fearing. Most of the dramas we fear will never actually happen. The others, in most cases, will be much less formidable than we fear. Living in fear and dreading the future is a sterile attitude, for apprehending hardships is, after all, more distressing than living them.
