Hello folks! It’s time for me to say goodbye to all these beauties from The Cardinal Direction 2020 Collection. The past five months have been fantastic and it was a joyful ride to go back sculpting with polymer clay again. What’s funny, since I’ve decided to switch to porcelain back in 2018, I though I was done with this material! You know what they say? Never say never, because you’ll never know what life will bring you! I’m happy to have listened to myself. See you soon with more posts! Take care!
Bonjour les amis! Il est temps pour moi de dire au revoir à toutes ces beautés de la collection 2020 Direction Cardinale. Les cinq derniers mois ont été fantastiques et c’était une belle aventure, de revenir à nouveau, sculpter avec la pâte de polymère. Ce qui est drôle, puisque j’ai décidé de passer à la porcelaine en 2018, je pensais que j’en avais fini avec ce matériel! Vous savez ce qu’on dit ? Ne jamais dire jamais, parce que vous ne sauvez jamais ce que la vie peut vous apporter! Je suis heureuse de m’être écouté. Je vous reverrai bientôt avec plus de publications! Prenez soin de vous!
The photo shoot has started
Good Afternoon! The session started earlier this morning and I felt it would be a very long day! Despite the lack of sunshine, I did my best and took as many pictures as possible. For the time being, several photos have had to be removed and others retouched. There is a good chance that a second photo shoot will be needed. I’m seriously thinking about it! In short, I have to leave you: I have several photos to correct. I will be publishing a brief overview of this session in the next few days. Happy week everyone!
Bon après-midi! La séance a débuté tôt ce matin et j’ai senti que ce serait une très longue journée! Malgré le manque de soleil, j’ai fait de mon mieux et pris autant de photos que possible. Pour le moment, plusieurs photos ont dû être élimées et d’autres retouchées. Il y de forte chance que qu’une seconde séance photo se pointe. Je pense sérieusement! Bref, je dois vous quitter : j’ai une pile de photos à corriger. Je publierai un bref aperçu de cette séance d’ici quelques jours. Bonne semaine tout le monde!

Patience needed!
Making art dolls is a long and hard process and mainly if they need to be modeled one by one! The kneading of the clay alone takes me between two to four hours of work and more if I have to mix more than one color. I must confess that there were moments of discouragement: either due to the clay being too hard to work with or because it was too soft. So, making art dolls requires patience and determination. These are two little tips that I strongly suggest to all those who wish to join the world of artist doll making.
La fabrication de poupées d’art est un processus long et difficile et principalement si elles doivent êtres modelés une à une! Le pétrissage de la pâte prend à lui seul me prend entre deux et quatre heures de travail et plus si je dois mélanger plus d’une couleur. Je dois vous avouer qu’il y a eu des moments de découragement : pâte trop difficile à travailler soit parce qu’elle était trop dur ou trop molle. Donc, la fabrication de poupées d’art demande de la patience et de la détermination. Se sont-là deux petits conseils que je suggère fortement à tous ceux et celles qui souhaitent se joindre dans le monde de la fabrication de poupées d’artiste.
