Hello! Here’s a taste of Georgianna’s measurements alongside other 1:6 scale dolls. Before we continue, it should be noted that Georgianna’s height is 12” (30.48 cm), so like the Barbie doll (11”/28 cm), she is in the same 1:6 scale. But what is the size of a 1:6 scale model?
In the context of miniatures, scale refers to the proportional size of the miniature in relation to its actual counterpart. For example, a 1:6 scale figure means that every inch of the figure corresponds to 6 inches in real life. For every modeler, it is important to understand the differences between the scale ratios. Therefore, scale model sizes are size comparison ratios indicating how much a model has scaled down from the original. For example, the scale of 1:24 means that the model is 1/24th the size of the original object. The larger the second digit, the smaller the size of the model.

Avant de poursuivre, il faut noter que la hauteur de Georgianna est de 12’’ (30,48 cm), donc comme la poupée Barbie (11’’/28 cm), elle est dans le même l’échelle de 1:6. Mais qu’est-ce que la taille d’un modèle réduit de 1:6 ?
Dans le contexte des figurines, l’échelle désigne la taille proportionnelle de la figurine par rapport à son homologue réel. Par exemple, une figurine à l’échelle 1:6 signifie que chaque centimètre de la figurine correspond à 6 pouces dans la vie réelle. Pour chaque modéliste, il est important de comprendre les différences entre les rapports d’échelle. Donc, les tailles des modèles réduits sont des rapports de comparaison des tailles indiquant le degré de réduction de l’échelle d’un modèle par rapport à l’original. An overview of the joints
Hello art doll lovers! I present you a preview of the second prototype of Georgianna. Its silhouette is distinguished by its finesse, and the fluidity of the joints allows for a wide variety of poses. This model is being produced in China, and it will be small. Only 20 units will be produced in three colors: latte, maple and mocha. Just like Miss Georgia, I plan to take several photos on different colored backgrounds and have a little fun. Bonjour les amoureux de poupées d’art! Je vous présente un aperçu du second prototype de Georgianna. Sa silhouette se distingue par sa finesse, et la fluidité des articulations permet d’obtenir une large variété de poses. Ce modèle est en cours de production en Chine et elle sera petite. Seulement 20 unités seront produites dans trois couleurs : latté, érable et moka. Here is Georgianna completed. I am satisfied with the result, and I want to send it into production during the summer. For the moment, just a simple production of about twenty dolls will be produced. Just like Miss Georgia, I want to moderate its availability on the market. A market that is already very competitive and I would even add saturated. One way to stand out is to offer something unique with a certain added value and high quality.
Voici Georgianna complétée. Je suis satisfaite du résultat et je souhaite l’envoyer en production au cours de l’été. Pour le moment, rien qu’une simple production d’une vingtaine de poupée seront produite. Tout comme Miss Georgia, je tiens à modérer sa disponibilité sur le marché. Un marché qui est déjà très compétitif et j’ajouterais même saturer. Une de façon de se démarquer est d’offrir quelque chose d’unique avec une certaine valeur ajoutée et de grande qualité.

What I’ve been up to…
After a strange summer that went by so quickly for my liking. I worked from time to time on a BDJ doll, specifically the prototype of Miss Georgia. I’m quite happy with the modeling. Joint engineering is another story and since I have every intention of making this doll in China, the whole doll needs to be flawless, from sculpting to engineering. That’s one of the reasons I decided to collaborate with an independent artist who specializes in 3D.
I had to be honest with myself, there are things I’m not very good at. My technique ‘’made by hand’’ has its limits and limits me to improve. At that point, I really needed help. There has been a time when we have to come to our senses and be reasonable in order to make good decisions. In my opinion, these are the most effective ways to keep my project authentic and become a reality. In other words, be humble. Having humility, in a positive way, is a form of pride. It allows you to become aware of what you can and cannot achieve.
This prototype doll will soon be cast by another independent artist and I can’t wait to show you the first photos. During this time, I’m working on small static figurines made of polymer clay. They will be about 8 inches (20.32 cm) tall. I plan to make a dozen of them and they will be available next year. For now, I’m going to focus on my prototype doll (BDJ) and publish more articles (drawings with proverbs) for the next two months.

Après un drôle d’été qui a passé si vite à mon goût. J’ai travaillé de temps en temps sur une poupée BDJ, précisément le prototype de Miss Georgia. Je suis assez contente par la réalisation de son modelage. L’ingénierie des articulations est une autre histoire et puisque j’ai la ferme intention de fabriquer cette poupée en Chine, l’ensemble de la poupée doit être impeccable, du sculptage à l’ingénierie. C’est pour l’une des raisons que j’ai décidé de collaborer avec un artiste indépendant spécialisé dans la 3D.
Je devais être honnête avec moi-même, il y a des choses pour lesquelles je ne suis pas très doué. Ma technique réalisée à la main a ses limites et me limite à m’améliorer. À ce moment-là , j’avais vraiment besoin d’aide. Il y a un temps, qu’il faut reprendre nos esprits et être raisonnable afin de prendre de bonnes décisions. À mon avis, c’est les moyens le plus efficaces afin que mon projet reste authentique et devient une réalité. En d’autres mots, soyez humbles. Avoir de l’humilité de manière positive, est une forme de fierté. Elle permet de prendre conscience de ce que l’on peut et ne peut pas réaliser.
Ce prototype de poupée sera bientôt coulé par un autre artiste indépendant et j’ai hâte de vous montrer les premières photos. Pendant ce temps, Je travaille sur des petites figurines statiques en pâte de polymère. Elles mesureront environ 8 pouces (20,32 cm). J’ai l’intention d’en faire une douzaine et elles seront disponibles l’année prochaine. Pour l’instant, je vais me concentrer sur ma poupée prototype (BDJ) et publier plus d’articles (dessins avec proverbes) pour les deux prochains mois.

Good morning! Here’s a brief look at the first doll I made. There is still a lot to do and I hope to finish her towards the end of May and the beginning of June. Thank you all for appreciating my work.
Bon matin! Voici un bref aperçu de la première poupée que je fabrique. Il y a encore beaucoup à faire et j’espère la terminer vers la fin du mois de mai et début juin. Merci à vous tous, d’apprécier mon travail.
A busy week passed!
Happy Sunday everyone! A busy week passed and I was more than satisfied and here I am with my doll. However, I don’t think I’ll be able to finish her for the up coming week: my schedule and night classes are taking up a lot of my time. But, don’t be worried, some photos of my work in progress will be published in the coming days.
Bon dimanche tout le monde! Une semaine chargée s’est écoulée et elle fut plus que satisfaisante et voici ou j’en suis rendue avec ma poupée. Toutefois, je ne crois pas que je pourrai la terminer pour la semaine qui s’en vient : mon emploi du temps et mes cours le soir prennent énormément de place. Mais, ne soyez pas inquiet, des photos de mon travail en progression seront publiées dans les prochains jours.
Time to drill!!!!
Hello everyone! I am willing to do a long and laborious work that of sanding. But there is also another challenge, which is to drill and widen the tunnels and holes of each part of the doll. I’ll have to focus on safety! Gangs, coat, hairnet, bezel and mask with filter will be a necessity! Not to mention that I need good lighting and to do it all in a well-ventilated room.
Allô tout le monde! Je suis disposée à effectuer un travail long et laborieux celui du sablage. Mais, à cela s’ajoute un autre défi, celui de percer et d’élargir les tunnels et les trous de chaque partie de la poupée. Il me faudra axer sur la sécurité! Gangs, sarrau, filet pour les cheveux, lunette de protection et masque avec filtre seront une nécessité! Sans oublier qu’il me faut un bon éclairage et réaliser le tout dans une pièce bien aérée.
