Here’s Pae!

Good evening to you all! Here she is and may I present to you Pae my first handmade BJD! I spent a whole afternoon taking photos. Speaking of photos, the photo session was exhausting! Due to a lack of natural light, the sun light, which in the end gave me a headache. Of course, several photos were simply removed. Regarding Pae, she stands 50 cm tall (20 inches), her eyes are handmade with Swarovski Crystal cabochons and her suit is hand painted.  In the coming weeks, I’ll make several posts on the theme of love and since Valentine’s is almost upon us… this falls well don’t you think?

Bonsoir à tous! La vois-ci et je vous la présente Pae ma toute première BJD! J’ai passé tout un après-midi à prendre des photos. Parlant de photos, la session de photos fut épuisante! Le fait de manquer de lumière naturelle, la lumière du soleil, m’a donné à la fin un mal de tête. Évidement, plusieurs photos ont été tout simplement supprimées. En ce qui concerne de Pae, elle fait 50 cm de haut (20 pouces), ses yeux sont faits main avec de cabochons de Crystal Swarovski et son tailleur est peint à la main.  Au cours de prochains semaines, je ferai plusieurs posts sur le thème de l’amour et puisque la St-Valentin est à nos portes…cela tombe bien vous ne trouvez pas?

Waiting to be dressed…

My lady is waiting to be dressed, but right now, I am attacking for a first fitting where I made many alterations! A second and perhaps even a third fitting will be required to offer a perfect garment that will gorgeously hang well with a nice silhouette. I’ll be back with more photos on my fittings. Ma demoiselle est en attente d’être habillée, mais en ce moment, je m’attaque à un premier essayage d’où j’effectue de nombreuses altérations! Un second et peut-être même, un troisième essayage, sera nécessaire pour offrir un vêtement impeccable avec une magnifique tombé et silhouette. Je vous reviendrai avec d’autres photos sur mes essayages. Bonne journée à tous!

Testing the doll

Good evening to you all! I did a few tests on my BJD doll and it’s nice to see the strength of the polymer clay with the pressure of the elastic. However, I have been very careful in my ways of manipulating the doll, because some parts, including the wrists and calves are fragile areas. I intend to test other mixes of blocks of polymer clay for my next BJD dolls. The mixture of Cernit and Living Doll polymer clay is beautifully natural, but slightly too fragile for my taste… Anyways, I’m already in the realization of another BJD doll and I can’t wait to show you the photos. Bonsoir à tous! J’ai pu tester ma poupée BJD et c’est agréable de constater la solidité de la pâte de polymère avec la pression des élastiques. Toutefois, j’ai du être très prudente dans ma façon de manipuler la poupée, puisque certaines parties, dont les poignets et les mollets sont des zones fragiles. Je compte tester d’autres mélanges de pâtes de polymère pour mes prochaines poupées BJD. Le mélange des pâtes Cernit et Living Doll dont un bel effet naturel, mais légèrement trop fragile à mon goût…Bref, je suis déjà dans la réalisation d’une autre poupée BJD et je suis impatiente de vous montrer les photos. D’ici-là, bon semaine!

Doll pose

Unfortunately, I could not show you the different poses that my BJD doll could hold and I apologize for this. In the past few weeks, I was just testing the various poses that she could do and all is possible. I had to change the elastic twice: the size and elasticity make all the difference! Sadly, she can’t stand up alone without her stand. This gap, I have to work on it with my next BJD doll. I’ll get back to you tomorrow with another post.

Malheureusement, je n’ai pas pu vous montrer les différentes poses que pouvaient effectuer ma poupée BJD et je m’en excuse. Au cours des dernières semaines, j’ai un pu tester les différentes poses qu’elle pouvait faire et toute était possible. J’ai du changer l’élastique à deux reprises : la grosseur et l’élasticité font toute la différence! Tristement, elle n’arrive pas à rester debout toute seule sans son stand. Cette lacune je devrai la travailler sur ma prochaine poupée BJD. Je vous reviendrai demain avec un autre post.

Good morning! I hope you did have a lovely Christmas with your love ones! In order to celebrate the end of 2016 and the making of my first handmade ooak BJD doll, I decided to create a video of her. Not all the pictures are featured, but a few of them will be added soon on this blog website. This video is actually my favorite one by far and I feel more comfortable in making them. Enjoy and will see each other very soon!

Bonjour! J’espère que vous avez eu un beau Noël avec vos proches! Afin de célébrer la fin de 2016 et la réalisation de ma première poupée unique BJD fait à la main, j’ai décidé de produire une vidéo d’elle. Certaines photos ne sont pas en vedette, mais quelques unes seront ajoutées prochainement sur le blog de ce site Web. Cette vidéo est de loin et sincèrement ma préférée et je me sens de plus en plus à l’aise dans la réalisation de vidéos. Profitez et on se revoit très bientôt!

Good afternoon! I found it difficult to stringed her all together: I have used a low quality and size of elastic. Believe me, having the right equipment makes all the difference and even if it does cost more! Do not be afraid to invest in terms of quality, It makes all de difference period! I count to make her wig between Christmas and the new year and show to you later a few pictures. In the meantime, I will not post something during the holydays: I’ll be with my family to celebrate the holiday season! I wish you all, a Merry Christmas full of love!

Bon après-midi! J’ai terminé ma poupée! J’ai trouvé difficile de l’assembler faute d’avoir utilisé un élastique de piètre qualité et de grosseur. Croyez-moi, avoir le bon matériel fait toute la différence et même si il cela doit coûter plus cher! Il ne faut pas avoir peur d’investir en termes de qualité, cela fait toute la différence point finale! Je compte de fabriquer sa perruque entre les jours des fêtes de Noël et le jour de l’an et vous montrez les photos par la suite. D’ici-là, je ne publierai rien entre temps : je serai avec ma famille pour célébrer les temps des fêtes! Je vous souhaite à tous et chacun, un joyeux Noël avec plein d’amour!

My BJD is now done!

Hello! I finally finished my BJD doll and I’m satisfied with it!  In the end, I have somewhat respected the silhouette of my technical drawing: I lacked polymer clay in the end! Yesterday, I was able to start sanding several pieces, including the head, the chest and torso.  It is a long process! But when I like something, I go for it with determination and patience is my best ally! I can’t wait to show you more photos! In the meantime, I need your patience… yet, I need two more days before I post anything! Thank you and see you soon!

Bonjour! J’ai finalement terminé ma poupée BJD et j’en suis satisfaite!  À la fin, J’ai plus ou moins respectée la silhouette mon dessin technique : je manquais de pâte de polymère! Hier, j’ai pu commencer le sablage de plusieurs pièces, dont la tête, le buste et le torse.  Le processus est long! Mais lorsque j’aime quelque chose, je fonce avec détermination et la patience est mon meilleur allié! J’ai hâte de vous montrer d’autres photos! D’ici-là, j’ai besoin de votre patience…encore deux jours avant de publier quoique ce soit! Merci et à bientôt!

Sculpting is almost done…

I have finally almost finished my BJD doll! For the moment, my biggest challenge is the strength of the polymer clay. The most delicate parts that I will have to watch are definitely the arms and the top of the knees, as the thickness of the clay is thinner. Therefore, the risk of cracking and breaking are greater. For my next BJD, I intend to do various tests of polymer clays and test them in terms of their degree of tension and pressure. Although I am a fan of Cernit clay, as I mentioned several times: I’m always looking for the best combination of polymer clay. I’ll be back soon with further details by this weekend. J’ai finalement presque terminé ma poupée BJD! Pour le moment, mon plus grand défi est solidité de la pâte de polymère. Les parties les plus délicates que je devrai surveiller son définitivement les bras et le haut des genoux, puisque l’épaisseur de la pâte y est plus mince. Donc, le risque de fissure et de cassure sont plus grands. Pour ma prochaine BJD, je compte faire différents tests de pâtes de polymère et  d’étudier chacun leur degré de tension et de pression. Quoique que je sois un fan de la pâte Cernit et comme je l’ai mentionné à plusieurs reprises : je suis toujours à la recherche de la meilleure pâte ou combinaison de pâte. She’s quietly comes to life

It’s done! I finished the chest, head and even started the thighs, all Sunday night. And yes, as I mentioned yesterday, the thighs require a lot of clay: 954 grams seems sufficient, but I have to be careful not to miss for the rest.  The eyes are handmade with Swarorvski Crystal cabochons. I love crystal. The finished effect gives a natural, mysterious look and it’s even magical. I intend to finish the sculpting of my doll by the end of the week and start sanding during the weekend.

C’est fait! J’ai terminé le buste, la tête et même commencé les cuisses, tous dimanche soir. Et oui, comme je le mentionnais hier, les cuisses requièrent énormément de pâte : 954 grammes semble suffisant, mais je dois faire attention pour ne pas en manquer pour la suite.  Les yeux sont faits mains avec des cabochons de cristal Swarorvski. J’adore le cristal. L’effet fini donne aspect naturel, mystérieux et même magique. Je compte terminer le modelage de ma poupée d’ici la fin de la semaine et commencer à la sabler durant cour du weekend.

Sculpting the torso…

I finally finished my BJD doll torso and I even continue with the elbows, knees and chest. I am pleased to have my template used: technical drawing of my doll. It has been more than helpful, though I may make other changes once this doll will be completed. The polymer clay that I used is a mixture of Cernit (nougat) and Living Doll (Terracota). I thought about not having enough to sculpt this doll: the fact that I have not yet started the head and particularly the thighs, so far, the chest requires a lot of clay.  But I think it will be fine… I’ll be back tomorrow with more details. Thank you!

J’ai finalement terminé le torse de ma poupée BJD et j’ai même continué les coudes, les genoux et le buste. Je me félicite d’avoir eu recours à mon gabarit : dessin technique de ma poupée. Il m’a été plus qu’utile, quoique je risque d’apporter d’autres modifications une fois cette poupée sera terminée. Les pâtes de polymère que j’ai utilisé sont un mélange de Cernit (nougat) et de Living Doll (Terracota). Je pensais de n’en avoir pas assez pour sculpter cette poupée : le fait que je n’ai pas encore commencé la tête et plus particulièrement les cuisses, jusqu’ici, le torse requière énormément de pâte.  Mais, je crois que cela ira bien…Je vous reviens demain avec la suite.
