Yippee! Finally, the painting! It was time, after two months of hard work! I have not stopped reworking and refining every piece of porcelain. Not to mention that I am happy to work with other colors of liquid clay (porcelain). This makes the painting process even more exciting. I can use and explore other colors. In short, since porcelain works by layers, based on my experience, a total of sixteen firings await me! Indeed, for each coat of paint, it is necessary to fire it at cone 01. For those who are not very familiar with porcelain, the cone is a porcelain stick that determines the degree of firing to be achieved. It is a kind of firing barometer. This stick is vital, in order to avoid overheating the porcelain pieces, when firing to very high temperature.

Youpi! Enfin la peinture! Il en était temps, après deux mois de dur travail! Je n’ai pas cessé de retravailler et raffiner chaque pièce. Sans compter que je suis heureuse de travailler avec d’autres couleurs d’argile liquide (porcelaine). Cela rend le processus de peinture encore plus excitant. Je peux utiliser et explorer d’autres couleurs. Bref, si je me fie à mon expérience, un total de seize cuissons m’attendent! En effet, pour chaque couche de peinture, il faut une cuisson au cône 018. Pour ceux qui ne sont pas très familier avec la porcelaine, le cône est un bâtonnet de porcelaine qui détermine le degré de cuisson à atteindre. Il est un genre de baromètre de cuisson. Ce bâtonnet est vital, afin d’éviter la surchauffe des pièces de porcelaine lors de la cuisson à très haut degré.
