Hello! Here are some doll heads that I painted. My goal is to explore various painting techniques and to do this, I have taken several online courses. These classes were very useful, allowing me to better master my tools, especially brushes, as well as the use of watercolor. Usually, I work with acrylic paint, a medium I know well. All that remains for me to do is to practice watercolors painting assiduously.

Allô! Voici quelques têtes de poupées que j’ai peintes. Mon objectif est d’explorer diverses techniques de peinture et, pour ce faire, j’ai suivi plusieurs cours en ligne. Ces cours ont été très utiles, me permettant de mieux maîtriser mes outils, notamment les pinceaux, ainsi que l’utilisation de l’aquarelle. Habituellement, je travaille avec de la peinture acrylique, un médium que je connais bien. Il ne me reste plus qu’à pratiquer assidûment la peinture à l’aquarelle.

Hi everyone! Here’s the 3D printed (prototype) Miss Georgia painted. I like the result although I did have some problems with her eyebrows. At first, I used a brown dry pastel, then added thin lines with a semi-dry pastel brown pencil. To finish, I drew more fine lines with a bit of black acrylic paint… And that was a mistake. The bristles of my brush were too long, and by the time I removed the excess paint, it was already too late because the acrylic had dried. I could have done it all over again, but I was worried about damaging the pink layer on the surface. Anyway, I’ll make up for it next time with a better technique and I already have an idea of how to do it. An important detail to add is its color which is a dark peach tone. However, since she is mixed-race, I plan to choose slightly darker shades such as bronzed caramel, hazelnut and peanut for her realization. How do you find it? I’m curious to know what you think.”

Coucou tout le monde ! Voici Miss Georgia imprimée en 3D (le prototype) peinte. J’apprécie le résultat bien que j’aie rencontré quelques problèmes avec ses sourcils. Au début, j’ai utilisé un pastel sec marron, puis j’ai ajouté de fines lignes avec un crayon brun pastel semi-sec. Pour finir, j’ai tracé d’autres lignes fines avec un peu de peinture acrylique noire… Et c’était une erreur. Les poils de mon pinceau étaient trop longs et, le temps d’enlever l’excès de peinture, il était déjà trop tard car l’acrylique avait séché. J’aurais pu tout recommencer, mais je craignais d’endommager la couche rosée en surface. Quoi qu’il en soit, je me rattraperai la prochaine fois avec une meilleure technique et j’ai déjà une idée de la manière de procéder. Un détail important à ajouter concerne sa couleur qui est d’un ton pêche foncé. Cependant, comme elle est métisse, je prévois de choisir des teintes légèrement plus sombres telles que caramel bronzé, noisette et arachide pour sa réalisation. Comment la trouvez-vous ? Je suis curieuse de savoir ce que vous en pensez.”

Good evening! I start my creation with painting to bring Miss Georgia to life. It’s incredible, but, despite my attempts with dry pastels, I couldn’t resist the urge to paint Miss Georgia with acrylic paint. It’s my material of choice. I feel comfortable with this medium because I know how to use it. I appreciate the end result it provides. A natural look that is the result of the application of several thin and translucent layers of paint, helped by the use of small make-up sponges. If I can offer a little advice to any artist, it’s this: if you appreciate an art material and it adds value to your work, keep using it.”

Bonsoir! J’entame ma création avec la peinture pour donner vie à Miss Georgia. C’est incroyable, mais, malgré mes essais avec les pastels secs, je n’ai pas pu résister à l’envie de peindre Miss Georgia avec de la peinture acrylique. C’est mon matériau de prédilection. Je me sens à l’aise avec ce médium, car je sais comment l’utiliser. J’apprécie le résultat final qu’il procure. Un rendu naturel qui est le fruit de l’application de plusieurs couches fines et translucides de peinture, aidé par l’utilisation de petites éponges à maquillage. Si je peux offrir un petit conseil à tout artiste, c’est ceci : si vous appréciez un matériau d’art et qu’il apporte une valeur ajoutée à votre œuvre, continuez à l’utiliser.”

Dark shades

I’m finishing the fourth and last part of the paintings on my little Miss Georgia faces. This time, it’s the dark shades of ivory to ebony that are in the spotlight. The challenge was great. But thank you to Pinterest. For stylish makeup ideas. The aspect of softness and sensuality was important. I’ve noticed one thing, the simpler and more natural, the better. I have avoided any excess and superfluity. Only a small layer of golden metallic color has been added, but with sobriety. I like the natural look of a doll in order to maintain its simplicity. What do you think? Do you like it?

Je termine la quatrième et dernière partie des peintures sur mes petits visages Miss Georgia. Cette fois-ci, ce sont les teintes foncées d’ivoire à ébène qui sont à l’honneur. Le défi était grand. Mais je remercie Pinterest. Pour des idées de maquillage élégant. L’aspect de douceur et de sensualité étaient importants. J’ai remarqué une chose, plus c’est simple et naturel, mieux c’est. J’ai évité tout excédant et superflu. Seul une petite couche de couleur métalliques dorées ont été ajoutés, mais avec sobriété. J’aime L’aspect naturelle d’une poupée afin de maintenir sa simplicité. Light medium shades

I’m continuing with my little Miss Georgia faces, but this time, with the medium-light shades. The paint application was quite easy starting with the powder coating and then the shading. I tried to apply the dry pastels first and then added a few more coats, but I had to stop. I noticed that I hated pastel particles, despite wearing a mask that I wore on my face. So, I had to start again with the acrylic paint that I love. And for the first time, I used an airbrush to do the shading. I kept my mask on for my safety. Using makeup sponge does a remarkable job too. As I often say, to each his own technique. The eyes were modeled with the head, but only the irises are made of gel varnish and then painted with acrylic paint. The colors of these little faces are caramel, mocha, mimosa and hazelnut.

Je poursuis avec mes petits visages de Miss Georgia, mais cette fois-ci, avec les teintes moyennement claires. L’application de peinture a été assez facile par commencer par le poudrage et par la suite les ombrages. J’ai essayé en premier d’appliquer les pastels secs puis par la suite ajouter quelques couches de plus, mais j’ai dû cesser. J’ai remarqué que j’avais horreur des particules de pastel et cela, malgré le port d’un masque que je portais sur mon visage. Donc, j’ai dû recommencer avec la peinture d’acrylique que j’affectionne. Et pour la première fois, j’ai employé un aérographe pour faire les ombrages. J’ai gardé mon masque pour ma sécurité. L’utilisation d’éponger pour maquillage fait un travail remarquable aussi. Comme que je dis souvent, à chacun sa technique. Les yeux ont été modelé avec la tête, mais seules les iris sont faites de gel vernis, puis peint de peinture d’acrylique. Les couleurs de ses ces petits visages sont caramel, moka, mimosa et noisette.

Happy Tuesday everyone. I finished applying paint to Miss Georgia’s resin faces. To my astonishment, I did create a lot of them. It’s been a while since I’ve touched resin pigments. I mixed several colors from the lightest to the darkest. My mission with this experiment was to make several ethical dolls. That’s my primary motivation and always has been. Of course, I’m referring to the polymer clay I use for my unique dolls. One thing I should clarify is that Miss Georgia is mixed-race, so her hue will change from tan to light brown. But for this experiment, I made 16 different colors. The five light colors you see are alabaster, peach, almond, pink, and blossom.

Bon Mardi tout le monde. J’ai terminé l’application de peinture sur les faces de résine de Miss Georgia. À mon grand étonnement, j’ai n’en créé énormément. Ma cela faisait un bon moment que je n’avais pas touché aux pigments de résines. J’ai mélangé plusieurs couleurs en passant du plus claires aux plus foncées. Ma mission avec cette expérience était de réaliser plusieurs poupées éthiques. C’est ma motivation première et cela l’a toujours été. Bien sûr, je fais référence à l’argile de polymère que j’utilise pour mes poupées uniques. Une chose que je dois préciser est que Miss Géorgie est métisse, donc sa teinte passera de la couleur tan au brun clair. Mais pour cette expérimentation, j’ai réalisé 16 couleurs totalement différentes. Les cinq couleurs claires que vous voyez sont albâtre, pêche, amande, rosé et Blossom.

Applying paint

The continuous work of applying paint to small Miss Georgia cameos has begun. I started yesterday morning and then finished today with a quick photo shoot. Several heads were made for a total of sixteen different colors, ranging from the lightest to the darkest. I used acrylic paint and dry pastels.

Le travail en continu de l’application de peinture sur des petits camés Miss Georgia est entamé. J’ai commencé hier matin, puis terminé aujourd’hui avec une rapide séance photo. Plusieurs têtes ont été réalisées pour un total de seize couleurs différentes, en passant du plus pâles au plus foncés. J’ai utilisé de la peinture d’acrylique et les pastels secs.

Let’s have a little fun and enjoy color! I feel festive because the beautiful summer season is near. But seriously, I’m excited because I’m currently working on several art dolls and I’m going to apply several techniques that have been practicing for some time. Stay tuned guys!

Amusons-nous un peu et ayons du plaisir avec la couleur! Je me sens festive parce que la belle saison de l’été est proche. Mais sérieusement, je suis excitée parce que je travaille en ce moment sur plusieurs poupées d’art et je vais appliquer plusieurs techniques que mis en pratique depuis un certain temps.
