Good morning! I decided to cast two more dolls in two different colors. The good news is these colors are gorgeous. The first is like a peanut colour and the second one is like a golden caramel. I’m very excited to paint them! But first, I’ll have to drill the holes, sand and clean each channel. Tell me, what do you think of each color?
I’m finally done! After four long days of work, I was able, thanks to heaven, to complete through these painful processes that are drilling and cleaning. As many of you may know these are the steps that I don’t appreciate. Some doll pieces are not perfect! But the most important thing, is that the worst is behind me and It’s to for me to move on to the other stage, that is painting!
Hello world! I would have liked to start this post differently, but there’re days we would like to forget! Today it was! I couldn’t manage to drill all the holes inside of each doll pieces! It’s frustrating! In the end, I began to get discouraged. My right hand and wrist were hurting me. But the worst part was my electric drill: I had to recharge it every time for at least two hours. So, it was impossible for me to finish this long hard work. What else can I say? Stay positive? Well, I have to, because once this part is over, I will be released! Thank you all for your support and interest in my work and I’ll see you again soon!
Phew! I spent a whole weekend making three resin dolls. The work was long, laborious and very messy! And not to mention the foul and toxic smell! I had to wear a mask with cartridges throughout the process. In addition to cleaning and sanding, I will have to pierce the inside of some doll pieces, including the legs, arms, bust and chest. I give myself at least three days of work. Honestly, that’s the part I hate the most. But this step is crucial for the next step which is painting. Thank you and I ‘ll see you very soon!
Good Friday! I’m ready for the resin casting stage! A long day awaits me and I am very excited. Stay tuned, in a few days, I will show you the first results!Ã
Hello everybody! I hope you’re having a great and safe Holiday time and I’ll make it short. This post is to celebrate the making of my very first BDJ resin art doll, here’s the short video of it. I hope you’ll like and I’ll see you soon for new posts. Stay safe everyone!
Hello everyone! I am willing to do a long and laborious work that of sanding. But there is also another challenge, which is to drill and widen the tunnels and holes of each part of the doll. I’ll have to focus on safety! Gangs, coat, hairnet, bezel and mask with filter will be a necessity! Not to mention that I need good lighting and to do it all in a well-ventilated room.
Good morning to all of you! The pouring of polyurethane resin has finally begun. It’s fantastic, but I have to work fast, the resin hardened in less than three minutes! Wearing a jacket, mask and gloves are necessary. In addition to its toxic smell, the resin is harmful to the skin. Speaking of resin, for my first coloring tests, I will not use any coloring. I will wait for the realization of a next doll.
Good morning! How are you doing? As for me, it couldn’t get any better. The production of silicone molds is going well… and I would say, in a sense. Things would have been better if I had calculated my quantities better. Indeed, I managed to make only half the molds and I am now in need of a silicone barrel. So, another expense will be needed. The good news is that silicone hardens at a high speed and the air bubbles are not very noticeable. To the touch, the texture is also nice.
