NEA-work in progress-AMG DOLL (19)

Good evening to you all! Here are the first pictures of the work in progress of NIA. I used a mixture of several polymer clay brands, such as Prosculpt, Fimo & Cernit to create her. From the beginning of her realization (NIA), I felt confident with her modelling, since I understood what I was doing. This has not prevented me to read and look again at my books and DVDs based on ball jointed dolls. In my opinion, this would have been a serious error of egocentrism, I’m a firm believer, that we should never think that everything is acquired… I am one of those who is trying to do things modestly: the perfectionist in me forces to do so. To return to NIA, in terms of silhouette, I wanted her to be different from PEA: slightly larger, a longer torso, finer hands and more realistic feet. I’ll be back with more pictures of her very soon. Thank you all!

Bonsoir à tous! Voici les premières photos du travail en progression de NEA. La pâte utiliser est un mélange de plusieurs marques, Prosculpt, Fimo et Cernit. Dès le début de sa réalisation (Nea), je me sentais en confiance avec son modelage puisque je comprenais ce que je faisais. Cela ne m’a pas empêché de lire et de regarder à nouveau mes livres et dvd sur la conception de poupées bjd. À mon avis, cela aurait été une grave erreur d’égocentrisme, car je crois qu’il ne faut jamais penser que tout est acquis…Je suis de ceux qui agit avec grande modestie, la perfectionniste en moi me l’oblige. Pour revenir à NEA, en termes de silhouette, je la voulais différente de PEA : légèrement plus grande, un torse plus long, des mains plus raffinés et des pieds plus réalistes. Je vous reviendrai avec d’autres images très bientôt. Merci à tous!

Hands & feet completed

Hello friends! I have finished my two pairs of feet and hands. I spent an entire morning sanding all of the pieces, therefore, the worst part has past. Now I have to paint everything. As I mentioned in my prior post, polymer clay feet and hands are the trickiest and hardest to realize. Indeed, each finger and toe are modeled on a thin metal rod and each layer of polymer clay must be carried out in various firing stages.  So, my biggest challenge is the clay! I have to test it, manipulate it, and work it in depth. Some blocks are sticker when handled and others, which are harder, work wonderfully during shaping. Of course, I have my preferences, but I won’t disclose them, since from one artist to another, tastes are very personal and natural. More so, I’m a fan of blends and polymer clay is no exception. More pictures will come soon! Thank you all once again for your interest in my work.

Allô les amis! J’ai terminé mes deux paires de pieds et de mains. J’ai passé un avant midi à tout sabler, donc, le pire est passé. Il me reste maintenant à tout peinturer. Comme je l’ai mentionné dans mon précédant post, modeler des pieds et des mains sont les pièces les plus délicates à réaliser et plus particulièrement avec la pâte de polymère. En effet, chaque doigts et orteils sont modelés sur une fine tige de métal et chaque couche de pâte de polymère doivent-être réalisés par étape de cuisson.  Donc, mon plus grand défi est la pâte! Je dois la tester, la manipuler et la travailler en profondeur. Certaines pâtes sont plus collantes à force d’être manipulées et d’autres, plus dures, se travaillent à merveille une fois modeler. Bien sûr, j’ai mes préférences, mais je ne peux les divulguer, puisque d’un artiste à un autre, les goûts sont très naturels et personnels. De plus, je suis un fan des mélanges et la pâte de polymère ne fait aucune exception. D’Autres images viendront bientôt! First modeling steps before first firing / Première étape de modelage avant la première cuisson

Hello my friends! This is the first step of a pair of hands that I’m working on at the moment. It is difficult to produce since each finger is modeled on a thin metal wire. So, this means that I don’t have the choice to work in stages for modelling: a layer of polymer clay for each firing. The polymer clay I used for this piece is Prosculpt . This clay is fantastic to work tiny details, but I intend to use other types of polymer clay to realize various pairs of hands, which I will show you very soon!

Bonsoir mes amis! Voici la première étape d’une paire de main que je travaille en ce moment. Elle difficile à produire puisque chaque doigt est modelé sur une fils fin en métal. Donc, ce qui signifie que je n’ai pas le choix de travailler en étape de modelage : une couche de pâte pour chaque cuisson. La pâte de polymère que j’utilise pour cette pièce est Prosculpt . Cette pâte est fantastique pour travailler les détails minuscules, mais je compte utiliser d’autres pâtre pour réaliser d’autres paires de mains que je vous montrerai très bientôt!
