Hello my dear friends! As promised, I actually reworked several faulty parts and I did my best. However, I did not have enough doll pieces in order to achieve a complete BJD doll. So, I had no other choice to make not one, but two porcelain art dolls. Which isn’t bad in my humble opinion, since I have worked on some of the techniques!
Oh my gosh, when things do not go as expected or go well! This is what happened when I bisque fired some doll parts. You see, the porcelain clay that I used, same trademark that I normally use, went wrong during bisque firing. However, to do things differently, I worked with another color, a kind of a pink/blush color. But unfortunately, many porcelain parts had bubbles, craters and a rough surface. I wanted to throw everything in the garbage, but due to the high price of porcelain and especially transportation costs… I abandoned this idea. I’ll try to rework these defective parts… Wish me luck everyone!
Hello! Before I store these porcelain doll heads, which I have worked on over the past few months, I wanted to view them one last time. This visualization is important to me, becaus it allows me to analyze my progression with not only porcelain, but also, where I want to end up with my dolls… Despite my boredom to realize some plaster molds, porcelain is without a doubt a fantastic material to work with and I will continue to use it…but for other projects. One of the three none painted heads will be use for another BJD doll, but for now, I will put away all the other ones!
Hello! I quietly moved forwards to finally finish the ten other porcelain heads that I started a few months ago. I was short on time and I had too much to do! But I really wanted to finish these heads and allow myself to work again with porcelain paints. Working with porcelain paint is a marvellous! The appearance of my doll heads looks so natural!
Good morning to you all and happy New Year 2019 once again! I hope that you are all well rested and spent a wonderful time with those who are dear to you. As for me, I caught a flu, but apart from that, I spent a great holiday time. Speaking of the new year, like everyone else, I made some resolutions. Some are more personal than others, so I’ll focus on the professional ones. In brief, I will continue my work with my dolls, I intend to renew my work with polymer clay to create art dolls. I might create a resin doll to challenge myself… Before leaving you, as I previously mentioned, I was working on another BJD porcelain doll, but also on other porcelain heads. Here are the images and we’ll meet again very soon.
