The sculpting of Ava is finally finished, after a long time realizing her legs. Ava is tall, in fact, she is the largest doll that I have realized: she stands 54 cm (21 ½ “) high once assembled. She is also heavy and can stand without her support, but not for long. Besides, I believe that this is preventing her from standing up straight: polymer clay once baked (with too many layers of clay) weakens her posture and makes her fall over… and it is a situation that I find unpleasant. I have not had this problem with Nea… This is probably due to the fact that she is too tall, who knows?

Le modelage de Ava est enfin terminé, après une longue période à réaliser ses jambes. Ava est grande, en fait, elle la plus grande poupée que j’ai eu à réaliser : elle fait 54 cm (21 ½’’) de haut une fois assemblée.  Elle est également lourde, elle peut rester debout sans son support, mais pas pour longtemps. D’ailleurs, je crois que c’est ce qui lui empêche de rester debout : la pâte de polymère une fois cuite (avec trop de couches de pâte) affaiblit sa posture et la fait basculer…et c’est une situation que je trouve déplaisante. Je n’ai pas eu ce problème avec Nea… Peut-être est-ce le fait qu’elle soit trop grande, qui sait?
