Good Sunday friends! I’m about to finish the assembly of my first porcelain BJD doll. The process is quite long, delicate and slightly exhausting for my hands: the manipulation of metal (rods, springs, S-hooks and swivels) have nothing to do with elastics. In fact, labour could be less laborious if my doll was smaller, she’s 50 cm (21 inches) high. So, depending on the final size of the porcelain BJD doll, the internal construction and engineering of each doll piece will be different. Another fact, the tension and the size of each metal spring makes a difference and so I had to buy and test several sizes for each of the joints (which is a bit expensive)!

Bon dimanche mes chers amis!
Following you since about a year ago, I very much appreciate your progress and I am so glad for you, so beautiful work!!!
Thank you for sharing ❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words! The main idea of this blog, it is to share to the world my progression in the handmade doll making world. Both process and progression are long! My next step will be making resin dolls and I hope to take a few workshops in silicone mold making. But I am not in rush: porcelain BJD dolls is taking a lot of my time.
