Happy Chinese New Year everyone! 2018 will be the year of the (Earth) dog and it is officially begin on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese calendar.
This year’s celebration will fall on February 16, lasting for seven days of joyous festivities, even though the festival technically lasts longer and ends on the 15th day of the first lunar month.
Unlike the Gregorian new year observed on January 1 in most parts of the world, the Chinese calendar is based on the movements of the moon.
The Year of the dog means: Being communicative, responsible in work, loyal, amiable, kind, cautious and prudent.
Joyeux nouvel an chinois à vous tous! 2018 sera l’année du chien de Terre et elle a officiellement commencée le 23e jour du 12e mois lunaire du calendrier chinois.
La célébration cette année tombera le 16 février, d’où de joyeuses festivités durons sept jours, même si techniquement, le festival dure plus longtemps et il se termine le 15ème jour du premier mois lunaire.
Contrairement à l’année grégorienne, qui débute le 1er janvier dans la plupart des régions du monde, le calendrier chinois est basé sur les mouvements de la lune.
L’année du chien veut dire : être communicatif, responsable en travail, fidèle, aimable, naturel et être prudent.
