An Easter at the Sugar Shack!

Good morning to all! I hope you had a very nice Easter with those you loved! As for me, I was able to enjoy this day and celebrate Easter at the Sugar shack! Although, I over ate Maple sugar, this celebration was different and comforting… and very sunny! Thank God, since last year, it was raining! During my stay at the Sugar shack, several activities were offered for the entire family, including a mini antique doll Museum! This fabulous collection of antique dolls is owned by Jacqueline Campion, an expert in the area since the 1950s. Her collection includes an 1890 French Jumeau doll, Simon & Halbig dolls from 1905, composition dolls from the 1920 and 30’s and not to mention, several Barbie dolls from the 1960s. But, those that I most enjoyed were her ethnic dolls, their number and quality were impressive!

Bon matin à tous! J’espère que vous avez passé une très belle Pâques avec ceux que vous aimé! Quant à moi, j’ai pu apprécier cette journée à célébrer cette Pâques à la Cabane à sucre! Quoique je me suis gavée de sucre d’érable, cette célébration était différente et réconfortante…et très ensoleillée! Dieu merci, l’an dernier, il pleuvait! Au cours de mon séjour à la Cabane à sucre, plusieurs activités étaient offertes pour toute la famille, dont un mini musée des poupées antiques! Cette fabuleuse collection de poupées antiques appartient à Jacqueline Campion, une experte en la matière depuis les années 50. Sa collection possède une poupée Jumeau de 1890, des Simon & Halbig de 1905, des poupées en composite des années 20 et 30 et sans oublier plusieurs poupées Barbie des années 60. Mais, celles que j’ai le plus apprécié, sont les poupées ethniques, leur nombre et la qualité sont impressionnants!

Happy Mother’s Day

For this Sunday May 8th 2016, I would like to take a moment to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to every mother out there and especially, my mother, a mother of four daughters and one of my sisters, a mother of two! God knows, that you can change your friends if they don’t have your trust, you can  also switch your job if your talent is not recognized  or leave your boyfriend if  he shows no respect. But, you can not change your parents, on less they want to and especially a mother, because we simply did not choose them! Parents do the best that they can to raise and educate their children, and especially mothers. And once again Happy Mother’s Day.
